ROAD TO THE VILLAGE At the exit of Essaouira, it will be necessary for you to drive South, into the direction of Agadir. Approximately 12 km further, turn right in the direction of Sidi Kaouki then follow the road along the Ocean. Some 12 kilometers after Sidi Kaouki, having crossed a river and forest of argan trees, you arrive at a small village, builds on a hillside: Aït Idir. Park there, very close to the panel which indicates waterfalls.
THE PATH TOWARDS THE BEACH From there, you will see a mule track which comes down in the direction of the beach. Following this path for approximately 45 minutes, according to your walking rhythm and also taking into account photo stops, you arrive at a dune of fine sand. During your progress you will probably meet herds of goats and sheeps, led by their shepherds.
Having gone down the sand dune and having by-passed it, you arrive at the waterfalls. Always fed by the river Aghbalou, according to the seasons, you will have very few water or beautiful very supplied falls.
Sidi Kaouki is a small town located 25 km south of Essaouira. It is a rural commune in Essaouira Province of the Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz region of Morocco. At the time of the 2004 census, the commune had a total population of 4335 people living in 902 households.
Sidi Kaouki is fast becoming one of the most popular surf and wind surfing destinations in Morocco. There a number of surf sports including beach breaks and reef breaks that produce punchy peaks and nice shaped waves. It is also a great spot for kite surfing as the wind is stronger than some other nearby spots including Essaouira
